Tomorrow Girls by Eva Grey

Welcome to a future world of destruction, demolish ion and danger…all thirteen year old Louisa Ballinger has ever known. Chicago has turned from a beautiful state to a war-striken zone…where everyone has to fight for their lives.

I read this book last year, and it is a little bit similar to Divergent. This series might be for a younger reader because it is slightly less complicated and shorter than the Divergent trilogy.

So, as the name suggests, this series (consisting of 4 books) is about 4 girls who each come from different backgrounds to attend a mysterious boarding school right on the Canadian boarder. Why? The bombing and war is becoming threatening and vicious, and it's for their own safety, after all.

As this is set in the future world (maybe around 2030?), there is lots of new technology. A few chapters into the first book, a girl freaks out in English:

"A pencil? We actually have to handwrite? Who does that anymore? Does anyone remember our grade one penmanship classes?"

Country Manor School isn't quite what any of the girls were expecting. There is no Wi-fi signals, no Internet Connection, radio signals…and they have to hand in all their jewellery and technology. Why? Well, it's for their own safety….or is it?

I'd love to tell you what happens, but I want you to read this amazing book first. Here is the link to a review and sneak peak on Goodreads. Comment and tell me what you think! :-)
