Timmy Failure, Mistakes were made - Stephan Pastis

Timmy Failure, Mistakes Were Made - Stephan Pastis

This book is all about Timmy and his "business partner," a polar bear.
You're all probably wondering why his name is Failure, well it never used to be.
Someone stupid changed his last name from Fayleure to Failure.
Timmy isn't like the other kids at school and he has no friends, so he sits by the fence at lunch stroking Total (the polar bear).
In his spare time, Timmy likes to be a detective and has put together an agency called Failure inc.
and he has big plans for it.
If you want to find out what his missions are then I guess you'll have to read the book.

Diary of a wimpy kid, dog days - Jeff Kinney

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID - JEFF KINNEY

This Jeff Kinney sensation of a book is the forth in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. This book is about a very wimpy boy named Greg Heffley.
Greg has always been the type of kid that likes to stay inside all day and play video games, but it's summer vacation and his mum's idea of a perfect summer is frolicking in the garden and spending time with family, so he'd better gear up for an exhausting summer (outside).

Book review on The Tale of Despereaux, By Gabbydel.

The Tale of Despereaux

Despereaux Tillings is a small mouse with a large task, to rescue a beautiful human princess. This book is divided into four different sections that tell the story from      different viewpoints. Book 1 covers Despereaux’s background and origins, while book 2 is told from the point of Roscuro, an evil rat with a shadowy past. Book 3 is told by Miggery Sow, a servant girl who is sold by her father for a handful of cigarettes, a red tablecloth, and a hen. All of the books are set years apart, building to the concluding Book 4.
This is such a great book and I loved it so I definitely recommend this for ages 9+. This is one of my favourite books and I have read it so many times I can't keep count that is how good it is so read the book!!!!

Ali's Pretty Little Lies

This book is a part of a series. This is the last book yet it is a prequel. Throughout the books there are several secrets but you never find out what they are, however in this book you find out all the pretty little lies.

"Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead"- Benjamin Franklin

This book is about twins; these twins are 'Alison' and 'Courtney'. Alison is your typical teenage girl - popular and pretty on the outside, and can be so sweet it could kill you on the inside. Courtney is the exact opposite, she is one of the 'un-popular' people, and is deeply jealous of her sister. She is also mentally unstable. One night Ali is washing up and has left her signature 'A' ring on the kitchen counter. This same night Courtney is going to be taken to The Preserve, but she doesn't want to. Courtney has a plan, What is this plan you say? It's the plan of taking over Ali's life.

I really enjoyed this book and I couldn't put it down. If you are interested, this book is available at most libraries.  This is the story of the pretty little liars.

Book review on The Hobbit. By Gabbydel.

The Hobbit

In the book The Hobbit, a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins is grudgingly forced out of The Shire and into an adventure, set in place by the wizard Gandolf. This is dreadful for Bilbo, because hobbits are known for staying at home and enjoying peace and quiet. But there’s a little spark in Bilbo, and it turns out he has spunk that sets him apart from other hobbits, which makes him perfect for the adventure.  I recommend this for ages 10+ as it is a challenging read for youngsters. It is a great book so I recommend that you read it!!!

Blubber
By Judy Blume
Halloween is coming up and it is time for the 5th grade class to do a project on animals. Linda chooses a project on whales but soon gets bullied and called blubber (which is a part of the whale).
Jill, Wendy and Caroline have big plans for Halloween and bully Linda all the time for her homemade costume. But what happens when Jill starts to get bullied, will she start to understand how miserable she made Linda feel?
I think this is a good book and give it a 3/5

Twilght

Twilght is a breathtaking and interesting book series which is also a movie.
This book is about a girl called Bella who moved for California to Forks , in forks its not so easy to fit in . Bella meets many new people ,  but she is trying to make it though this nightmare of a place. But her thoughts changed once she fell in love with Edward. But will Edward fit into her human life-style?
You will have to read it yourself. I rate this book 4/5.

Royal Diaries Red Rose Of the house of Tudor

This book is about a girl named Elizabeth the first, she gets this book from one of her maids as a present and Elizabeth writes in it every day untill she becomes queen. This book is amazing and tells you that she is not as horrid as her farther and her sister queen bloody Mary. This book all so has some photos and facts about the family and the generations behind them. I would recommend this book for ages 11 and up because of the language of the old English and might be a bit hard to understand.

This is a photo of the cover

The Darkest Minds - Alexandra Bracken

The Darkest Minds - Alexandra Bracken

They were never scared of the kids who might die, or the empty spaces they would leave behind. They were afraid of us — the ones who lived - Alexandra Bracken

If you could have any power what would it be? Every power is classed under a colour.
Intelligence    -  Green
Teleportation -  Blue
Electricity      -  Yellow
Mind control  - Orange
Fire                - Red

But there is a catch if you have the power of electricity, mind control, or fire you are sentenced to death.

Ruby was normal. Until one day when it all changed, she woke up on her tenth birthday to find her parents didn't know who she was. Why?

What happens when Ruby is classed under green but is really an orange? Will she be able to escape death?

I would recommend this book to people that like dystopian books. It's very adventurous, however, I would warn you that there is some violence and coarse language.

After Tomorrow

After Tomorrow

By Gillian Cross

After Tomorrow is about Matt who is living in a small town outside London with his mother, step father, his brother Taco, and grandmother who has dementia.
In this place, at the time there is no use for money and the only thing that is useful is food which there is not much of. Aside from this, people start getting labeled as 'Scadgers' when they store or grow food. When the raiders attacked Matt's home for food, his mother decided that they needed to move away from the madness. So, they sneak across the border on the Channel Tunnel to France where they find things aren't much safer. They get sent to a refugee camp where they learn to live in tents and have swede, rice, beans and bread to eat.

I really like this book because it kept me always on the edge of my seat and was very interesting. I liked how it started with an action scene which told what the book would be like. It showed me how hard it was for some when they were going through hard times and how hard they worked to survive and help others survive. It proved the lengths they went to and that they had to step out of their comfort zone. I recommend this book for people from ages 9-10 up because it was a challenge for me to read and some times it got a little frighting.

Here you can read the first chapter of After Tomorrow on Amazon if you like Just click on "look inside me when you get to the web page!

Kristina and the girl king

This book is written in Sweden in 1638 by a teenager named Kristina ,and When she was born  something really bad happens and the whole of Sweden collaps in horror and dismay as to hear a girl king is born! Many people help this girl king to be a king and even after the worst day of Swedens lives. I reccomend this book for ages 10 and up because some of it is hard to understand and some of the names too. But over all this book is great for children that love diaries and history.

Catherine and the great journey

This book was written in 1743 Russia and is about a girl named Catherine and her journey though many countries. But her life is a mess and her mother calls her names like my poor ugly daughter.  She has to travel though some countries that have many diseases and she is about to be queen. I would recommend this book for ages 10 and up because some words are bit to hard to understand and some parts don't make allot of sense but overall it is a great book if you like history.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, The Long Haul, Jeff Kinney

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, The Long Haul, Jeff Kinney

This is the 9th book in the series of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, and in my opinion, one of the best. Greg and his family go on a road trip in a car that is too small for their luggage so Greg is stuck in the back uncomfortably around the luggage. They come across lots of problems along the way such as the sea gulls getting inside the car and accidentally travelling to a pet cemetary. come and join Greg in his long adventure in the summer heat stuck in the back of the car by reading his humorous book.

Shatter Me - Tahereh Mafi

I have a curse

I have a gift.

I am a monster

I am more than human.

My touch is lethal

My touch is power.

Imagine not being able to touch anyone. Imagine being treated as if you are a killer. Imagine your family disowning you. Imagine the betrayal of your lover. Imagine counting days as if they are grains of sand. Never ending. Imagine life as Juliette Ferrar.

When Juliette Ferrar was young she was labelled a killer. Why? She simply touched a young boy. What Juliette didn't know was that she had power, she was power. She could kill simply by touching someone.

I absolutely loved this book, it's full of adventure and it's simply amazing. All the characters come together with some very unexpected twists. Overall, I believe that if you like dystopian books than you should definitely read this one.

The truth, is a painful reminder of why I prefer to live among the lies - Shatter Me

Confessions of a first daughter by Cassidy Calloway

Confessions of a first daughter

Morgan is so over being the first daughter, that she would give it up any day!

Morgan has little social-life and astutely no privacy! And her number one trait would have to be being extremely clumsy. You wouldn't really expect this from the first daughter… would you?
You would most likely expect them to be very popular, always in line with the rules,or never clumsy. But Morgan is not a little bit like that at all. Morgan doesn't have a everyday teenage girl life, she always has to doge paparazzi, look her best at all occasions, try to keep up with her school work and on top of that she still has to have little fun.

One day Morgan's mother (the president) goes on a trip to the tropics, leaving Morgan by her self. I wonder what Morgan will do… maybe play presented for a day?

This is a great book, I am enjoying reading all the funny things she gets up to in her crazy busy life being the first daughter.
