Because Of Winn-Dixie

Because of Winn-Dixie is about a ten year old girl called Opal who just moved to Naomi, Florida with her father, the preacher. One day Opal went to the Winn-Dixie supermarket and there was a scruffy dog causing chaos there. The owner was about to send the dog to the pound when Opal said that the dog belonged to her when it didn't. So, Opal took the dog and named him after the supermarket where she found him. Opal makes lots of new friends like Otis, Gloria and Miss Franny Block in her new town. Winn-Dixie helps Opal to settle in and get through being the 'new girl'.
I really like this book because it is sad in some parts and really nice and sweet. I recommend this book to anybody because it is suitable for everyone!
